Career Navigators Acceptable Use Policy Rules for using Career Navigators
The main rule is simple: use Career Navigators to support genuine career development, employment and professional connection, without harming other people, misleading them, or interfering with the Service. This Acceptable Use Policy applies whenever you access or use Career Navigators, including its career planning, profile and CV tools, opportunity discovery, application and interview tools, AI features, integrations and Career Communities. Career Communities includes profiles, Connections, Personal Networks, Career Circles, posts, comments, replies, reactions, mentions, messages, invitations, notifications, attachments and shared objects. This Policy forms part of the Career Navigators Terms of Use or Terms of Service that apply to you. In this Policy, "Service" means Career Navigators and its features, and "content" includes anything submitted, generated, uploaded, shared, sent or made available through the Service.
Use the Service lawfully and safely You must not use the Service to create, request, upload, share, promote, facilitate or threaten: • conduct or content that is unlawful in the place where you use the Service or where its effects occur; • child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation or grooming, human trafficking, or any sexual content involving a person under 18; • terrorism, violent extremism, credible threats, incitement to violence, or instructions intended to enable serious wrongdoing; • non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual extortion, stalking, doxxing, coercion or domestic abuse; • suicide or self-harm encouragement, instructions or targeting, except for good-faith support, prevention, recovery or educational discussion; • the sale, acquisition or misuse of illegal drugs, weapons, stolen property, forged documents or other unlawful goods or services; or • malware, credential theft, phishing, fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion or other cyber-enabled crime. Good-faith discussion of difficult subjects for support, education, news, research or prevention is not prohibited merely because the subject is sensitive. Context, purpose and likely impact matter.
Treat people with respect You must not: • bully, harass, intimidate, shame or repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop; • threaten, celebrate or encourage harm to a person or group; • attack, demean or exclude people based on a legally protected characteristic, or promote hateful organisations or ideologies; • sexually harass another person or send unwanted sexual content; • target a person because they are vulnerable, including because of age, disability, unemployment, immigration status or financial difficulty; or • organise coordinated abuse, false reporting or exclusion of another user. Respectful disagreement, criticism of ideas and discussion of workplace or career experiences are allowed. Keep criticism relevant, truthful and directed at conduct or ideas rather than abuse of an individual.
Be honest about identity, experience and opportunities Career Navigators is intended to help people present their genuine experience and find genuine opportunities. You must not: • impersonate another person or organisation, create a deceptive identity, or falsely claim authority, affiliation, accreditation or endorsement; • invent or materially misrepresent qualifications, skills, achievements, references, work history, identity, work authorisation or application information; • post or distribute fake, misleading, discriminatory or unlawful jobs, internships, mentoring offers, events or other opportunities; • operate recruitment, investment, training, visa, advance-fee or work-from-home scams; • request payment, financial credentials, identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information as a condition of considering a person for an opportunity, unless lawful, proportionate and clearly explained; or • misrepresent AI-generated material as independently verified, professionally endorsed or written by another identifiable person. 4 Protect privacy and confidentiality You may use only personal or confidential information that you have a lawful right to use. You must not: • publish or share another person's home address, personal contact details, identity documents, financial information, health information, private messages or other sensitive data without a lawful basis and appropriate permission; • upload another person's CV, application, reference, assessment, private correspondence or employment records without authority; • disclose confidential information belonging to an employer, client, educational institution or other organisation; • collect, scrape, profile, monitor, export, sell or combine information about users for advertising, surveillance, background screening, credit decisions or other unrelated purposes; or • record, reproduce or distribute private Community content outside its intended audience in a way that violates law, confidentiality, privacy or another person's reasonable safety expectations. Before sharing career information, remove personal details or confidential material that the intended audience does not need. Audience controls reduce visibility but do not guarantee that another user will not copy or disclose what you share.
Respect intellectual property and other rights You must not upload, copy, distribute or use content unless you own it, have permission, or another lawful exception applies. Do not remove ownership notices, pass off another person's work as your own, or use a person's name, image, voice or likeness unlawfully.
Use AI features responsibly AI features provide suggestions and may make mistakes. When using them, you must not: • ask the Service to produce content or assistance prohibited by this Policy; • submit personal, confidential or proprietary information that you do not have the right to process through an AI feature; • use AI output to deceive, impersonate, defame or exploit another person; • present invented facts, qualifications, achievements, citations or references as true; • use output as the sole basis for a decision that significantly affects another person's employment, education, housing, credit, insurance, healthcare or legal rights; or • attempt to defeat safety controls, extract confidential system instructions, obtain another user's data or cause the Service to take unauthorised actions. You are responsible for reviewing and, where necessary, correcting AI-generated content before relying on, publishing or submitting it. AI output is not professional, legal, financial, medical or immigration advice. 7 Use Career Communities for genuine professional purposes You must respect the purpose, membership and audience of each Community space. You must not: • send spam, repetitive invitations, chain messages or unsolicited bulk messages; • use Connections, Personal Networks, Career Circles or messaging primarily for unrelated advertising, lead generation, political campaigning, multi-level marketing or data harvesting; • add people to private spaces deceptively, pressure them to connect, or evade a block, removal or invitation limit; • share another member's private post, attachment, message or profile information outside the intended audience without authority; • use Community features for romantic or sexual solicitation, or target members with predatory or exploitative approaches; or • disrupt a space through flooding, off-topic posting, coordinated manipulation, fake engagement or repeated disregard of a Circle or Network's reasonable rules. 8 Do not interfere with the Service Except where applicable law expressly permits it or Zevancer Ltd has authorised it in writing, you must not: • access another person's account, share login credentials, bypass authentication or test security without permission; • probe, scan, exploit or disclose a vulnerability in a way that creates risk to users or the Service; • introduce malicious code, overload the Service, disrupt availability or interfere with another person's use; • scrape, crawl, index, copy or download the Service or user content by automated means; • use bots, scripts, browser automation or multiple accounts to send messages, create engagement, harvest data, apply for opportunities or perform actions at scale; • circumvent plan limits, rate limits, metering, geographic restrictions, feature gates, moderation controls, blocks or suspensions; • reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, model components, private prompts, keys or non-public data; or • resell, sublicense or provide access to the Service as part of another product without written permission. This section does not restrict ordinary use of accessibility tools, search engines authorised by us, or interoperability and security research that applicable law protects. If you identify a security issue, report it privately using the contact route provided in the Service and do not access, retain or disclose more data than is necessary to demonstrate it safely.
Respect third party services Job listings, external application pages, identity services and other integrations may be supplied by third parties. You must comply with their applicable terms and must not use Career Navigators to circumvent their controls, scrape their services, submit automated or deceptive applications, or infringe their rights. A listing or link appearing in Career Navigators is not permission to misuse the third-party service.
Special protections for users aged 16 and 17 The Service is for users aged 16 or over. Users aged 16 or 17 must not be targeted for adult, sexual, exploitative, high-pressure commercial or otherwise age-inappropriate contact. Do not ask them to move conversations to less protected channels, conceal communications from a parent or guardian, disclose unnecessary personal information, or meet in person without appropriate safeguards.
How we respond to possible violations Zevancer Ltd may investigate reports and use available account, content and technical information for safety, security and enforcement. Depending on the circumstances, we may: • reduce visibility, hide or remove content; • issue guidance or a warning; • limit messaging, invitations, Community participation, AI functions or other features; • remove a person from a Network or Career Circle; • temporarily suspend or permanently terminate an account; • preserve relevant information; or • notify an affected party, service provider, regulator, safeguarding body or law-enforcement agency where required by law or reasonably necessary to address a serious risk. We consider context, intent, severity, actual or potential harm, recurrence and the user's response. We may act immediately where necessary to protect people, evidence or the Service. Significant moderation sanctions are made or reviewed by authorised people and are not imposed solely by AI. Where appropriate, we will explain a significant decision and provide a route to request review. We may limit that explanation where disclosure could create a safety or security risk, reveal another person's confidential information, prejudice an investigation or conflict with law. We do not routinely read private messages. Authorised personnel may review a reported message and relevant surrounding context when reasonably necessary to investigate a report, protect users, secure the Service or comply with law.
Report concerns Use the reporting tools available in the Service to report content, conduct or accounts that may violate this Policy. For account, privacy, copyright or security concerns, use the support or contact route displayed in Career Navigators. Provide enough information for us to understand the issue, but do not circulate illegal or highly sensitive material more widely than necessary. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact the emergency services in the relevant country. Career Navigators is not an emergency service and reports may not be reviewed immediately.
Changes and relationship with other rules We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Service, risks, law or our safety practices. We will provide notice where required by applicable law and will show the current effective date. Material changes will not apply retroactively where doing so would unlawfully reduce your rights. This Policy supplements the applicable Career Navigators Terms of Use or Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and any additional rules clearly presented for a feature or Community space. If those documents conflict, the Terms govern the contractual relationship, while the rule that gives users any mandatory protection required by applicable law will continue to apply.
