CAREER NAVIGATORS Terms of Use For the Career Navigators website and application Status Updated working draft including Career Communities for legal and operational review Effective date 11th September 2026
Please read these terms They explain who may use Career Navigators, what the service does and does not do, how subscriptions and cancellation work, and the responsibilities of users and Career Navigators.
-
Who we are and how these terms apply Career Navigators is operated by Zevancer Limited (company number 17113063), whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ (we, us or our). We trade as Career Navigators. Our website is www.career-navigators.ai . These Terms of Use (Terms) apply when you access or use our website, application, AI-assisted tools, career-planning features, opportunity search and analysis tools, Career Communities, paid plans and related services (together, the Service). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal data. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If a separate written agreement between us and you expressly applies to the Service, that agreement prevails to the extent of any conflict.
-
Eligibility and users aged 16 or 17 You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You confirm that the registration information you provide is accurate and that you have legal capacity to accept these Terms. If you are 16 or 17, you should review these Terms and the Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian. You must have their permission before buying a paid plan or providing payment details. We may take proportionate steps to confirm age or permission where reasonably necessary. The Service is for individual, personal use unless we agree otherwise in writing. If an educational institution, employer or other organisation provides access, additional terms may apply between that organisation and us, but your statutory rights are not reduced.
-
What Career Navigators provides The Service may help you organise career information, explore possible roles, create or improve CV and profile content, prepare for applications and interviews, analyse opportunities, and receive AI-generated suggestions. Features may vary by plan, territory, device and launch phase. Career information changes quickly. Vacancy details, deadlines, salaries, eligibility criteria and employer information may be supplied by third parties or collected from public sources. We try to present useful and current information, but we do not guarantee that any listing is complete, current, error-free or still available. Check important details directly with the employer or original publisher before acting.
-
Career guidance and AI outputs Important limitation Career Navigators supports your judgement; it does not replace it. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, generic or unsuitable for your circumstances.
The Service uses automated and generative-AI systems. Their outputs are suggestions, not promises, decisions or professional advice. We do not guarantee admission, employment, interview selection, career progression, salary, sponsorship, visa eligibility or any other outcome. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all outputs before using or sharing them. In particular, check that a CV, cover letter, profile or application is accurate, truthful, original enough for its intended use, and consistent with any employer, institution or platform rules. Do not submit invented qualifications, experience or achievements. The Service does not provide legal, immigration, financial, medical, psychological or regulated careers advice. Obtain qualified advice where your decision depends on those matters. We do not make recruitment decisions for employers and do not use the Service to make a solely automated decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
-
Your account You must keep your login credentials confidential, use reasonable security measures and tell us promptly at support@career-navigators.ai if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity on your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Do not create an account for another person without authority, impersonate anyone, or provide misleading identity or eligibility information. You may not sell, transfer or share your account.
-
Your content and permissions You retain ownership of CVs, profile information, prompts, documents, Community Profiles, posts, comments, messages, attachments, feedback and other material you submit (Your Content). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, adapt, transmit, display to you and to the audiences you select, and otherwise use Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and support the Service, comply with law, and exercise our rights under these Terms. This licence ends when content is deleted from active systems, except that content already shared may remain as described below and subject to reasonable backup periods, anonymisation and legal retention duties. You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide Your Content and that our permitted use will not infringe another person's rights. Avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information, confidential employer material, references or personal data about other people. If you include another person's personal data, you must have a lawful reason to do so and tell them where required. We will not publicly display Your Content outside the audience you select or use it in marketing without your permission. We do not use identifiable Your Content to train a general-purpose AI model unless you separately and affirmatively opt in. Community AI assistance processes Community content only when a user invokes the relevant feature; automated systems do not impose moderation sanctions at launch.
-
Career Communities Career Communities is an optional part of the Service that may include Community Profiles, mutual Connections, one-to-one messaging, private Personal Networks, discoverable Career Circles, posts, comments, replies, reactions, mentions, attachments, shared Career Navigators objects, invitations and notifications. Availability may depend on territory, release settings, plan entitlements and private-beta access, and individual features may change or be unavailable. Community Profiles are opt-in. You choose which available profile fields to show and may change your visibility settings. Community Profiles and Career Circles may be discoverable only by signed-in Career Navigators users; they are not intended for public internet indexing. Personal Networks are private, invitation-only spaces, and their membership and content are not visible outside the Network. Content within a Career Circle is available only to the audience allowed by that Circle's access settings. Connections require acceptance by both users. Ending a Connection stops future connected features but does not automatically erase messages already delivered. A Personal Network may have one or more Owners and Members. A Career Circle may have Owners, Moderators and Members and may be open or require approval to join. Owners and Moderators must exercise their permissions fairly and only for the relevant community purpose. If the final active Owner leaves a Circle, new posting may pause while existing content remains readable until ownership is restored or the Circle is closed. When you share content, you direct us to display it to the audience you select. Do not assume that shared content is confidential: recipients may copy, download or share it outside the Service despite these Terms or our controls. You remain responsible for your posts, messages, attachments, reactions, invitations and other interactions and must respect other people's privacy, intellectual property and confidentiality. You may report content, conduct or accounts using the available tools. We do not promise to monitor every communication and we do not routinely browse private messages. Authorised personnel may review content and relevant surrounding context following a report, safety concern, support request or legal obligation. We may hide or remove content, warn a user, limit community features, remove a person from a space, suspend an account or take other proportionate action. You may ask [SUPPORT EMAIL] to review a significant warning, removal, restriction or suspension, although we do not promise a formal appeal for every minor decision. Blocking is intended to stop direct messages, invitations, Connection requests, discovery, direct mentions, direct sharing and related notifications between the affected users. It does not automatically remove either person from a shared Personal Network or erase prior membership or message history; use the relevant leave, removal or reporting tools as well. A safety removal may revoke access to earlier Network content where reasonably necessary. You may invite a non-user only where you reasonably believe they would welcome the invitation. Do not send repeated, misleading or commercial invitations. We may limit invitations and retain a minimal suppression record when a recipient opts out. Users aged 16 or 17 may use Career Communities with privacy-protective defaults and additional limits intended to reduce unwanted discovery, contact and advertising. No safeguard is perfect, so do not disclose contact details or other sensitive information unnecessarily and report concerning behaviour promptly.
-
Acceptable use You must use the Service lawfully and responsibly. You must not: • upload unlawful, discriminatory, abusive, defamatory, deceptive, infringing or malicious material; • seek to generate fraudulent applications, false credentials, impersonation, harassment or unlawful discrimination; • probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or bypass security, rate limits, access controls or subscription restrictions, except where law expressly permits; • use bots, scraping or bulk extraction to copy opportunity data, outputs or databases without written permission; • introduce malware or attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data; • use the Service to develop or benchmark a competing service using automated or systematic extraction; or • harass, threaten, stalk, sexually exploit or groom another person, solicit sexual content from a minor, or share intimate content without consent; • publish another person's private or confidential information, evade a block or moderation restriction, or encourage coordinated abuse; • send spam, repeated unwanted contact, misleading invitations or unauthorised commercial promotions; or • help another person do any of the above. We may investigate suspected misuse and may remove content, restrict features or suspend an account where reasonably necessary. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond.
-
Third-party services and links The Service may link to or interoperate with job boards, employers, LinkedIn, payment providers, AI providers and other third-party services. Those services have their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for their availability, content, decisions or acts, although we remain responsible for our own legal obligations and for suppliers acting as our processors. Connecting an external account is optional unless clearly stated otherwise. You control the permissions you grant and may disconnect an integration through the relevant settings, subject to any data we must retain by law.
-
Free features, paid plans and prices The features, usage allowances and current price of each plan are shown before purchase. Prices include VAT where required unless checkout clearly states otherwise. We may apply fair-use limits, rate limits or plan-specific caps that are clearly disclosed in the product or pricing page. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the billing period shown at checkout until cancelled. Before you subscribe, we will show the price, payment frequency, renewal terms, minimum commitment (if any), trial or introductory terms, how to cancel and any material usage limits. We will provide confirmation in a durable form, normally by email. Payments are processed by our payment provider. You authorise it to charge the payment method you provide. If a payment fails, we may retry it, ask you to update your details, restrict paid features or move your account to a free plan after reasonable notice. We may change subscription prices for a future billing period. We will give reasonable advance notice and explain when the change takes effect and how to cancel. A change will not retrospectively increase a price already paid.
-
Trials, renewal and cancellation Any free or discounted trial duration and the price payable afterwards will be shown before you start. Unless checkout says the trial ends automatically, it converts to the stated paid subscription if you do not cancel before it ends. We will send any reminder required by law and aim to send a clear reminder before a paid conversion or material renewal. You may cancel an auto-renewing plan at any time through [ACCOUNT > BILLING] or by contacting support@career-navigators.ai. Online subscriptions can be cancelled online without unnecessary steps. Cancellation stops future renewal charges; access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period unless law or the offer states otherwise. We will confirm cancellation. If your plan renews for 12 months or more, or after a free or discounted trial, we will provide any additional renewal notice and cooling-off right required by law at that time. We may voluntarily provide more generous cancellation rights.
-
Your 14-day cancellation right If you are a UK consumer buying online, you will normally have 14 days from the day after entering the contract to cancel without giving a reason. To cancel, use the online cancellation control, email [SUPPORT EMAIL], or send the form in Schedule 1. A clear statement that you wish to cancel is enough. If you ask us to begin supplying paid services during the 14-day period and then cancel, we may deduct a proportionate amount for services supplied before cancellation where the law allows. For digital content supplied immediately, you may lose the cancellation right only if you gave the express consent and acknowledgement required by law. Your statutory rights where the Service is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied with reasonable care and skill are unaffected. We will make any refund due using the original payment method, normally within 14 days after we are informed of your decision to cancel.
-
Referral credits and promotions We may offer referral credits, discounts or promotions under rules shown with the relevant offer. Unless those rules say otherwise, credit is personal, non-transferable, has no cash value, cannot be resold and may be used only against eligible Career Navigators charges. The number and value of rewarded referrals may be capped. A referral reward is earned only when the referred person is a genuine new user who meets the stated conditions, such as completing a paid subscription outside any refund or chargeback period. We may withhold or reverse credit reasonably linked to self-referral, duplicate accounts, cancellation, refund, chargeback, manipulation or fraud. We will not remove valid accrued credit arbitrarily. Any expiry period will be clearly stated when the credit is awarded.
-
Our intellectual property We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, design, branding, selection and arrangement of content, and proprietary databases. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose while your account is active. They do not transfer our intellectual property to you. Subject to third-party rights and these Terms, you may use AI-generated output created for you for your personal career purposes. Similar or identical output may be generated for others, and we do not guarantee that output is unique or capable of intellectual-property protection. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, but we will not identify you publicly without permission.
-
Service availability and changes We use reasonable care to keep the Service available and secure, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, supplier failures, security incidents or events beyond reasonable control. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may improve, replace or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces a paid plan during a prepaid period, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and, if appropriate, provide an alternative, pro-rata refund or right to cancel. Nothing in this section limits statutory rights.
-
Suspension and ending your account You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. Cancelling a subscription and deleting an account are separate actions unless the product clearly combines them. Account deletion normally pseudonymises the author of messages, posts and comments that remain reasonably necessary for other participants or community continuity and removes linked attachments from active systems, subject to backup periods, legal duties, safety needs and valid erasure rights. Content another user has accepted into their Career Memory may remain with provenance needed to preserve its meaning. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay, or misuse the Service. Except in urgent cases, we will normally provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue. We will not use this right arbitrarily. When the account ends, your right to use the Service ends. Clauses intended to continue - including intellectual property, accrued payment obligations, liability and dispute provisions - remain effective. Data is handled under the Privacy Policy.
-
Our responsibility to you We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. If we breach these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage that was a foreseeable result when you accepted them. We are not responsible for loss caused by information you supplied incorrectly, your failure to review an output, an employer or third party, or events outside our reasonable control, except to the extent we caused or should reasonably have prevented the loss. The Service is supplied for personal and domestic use. If you use it for trade or business purposes, we are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or business interruption. This does not affect rights you have as a consumer.
-
Complaints and disputes Contact us first at support@career-navigators.ai and we will try to resolve the issue fairly. Include your account email, a description of the problem and the resolution you seek, but do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive data. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you also retain any mandatory protections of your home jurisdiction and may bring proceedings in the courts where you live. Consumers in England and Wales may bring proceedings in those courts; consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may use their local courts. Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory consumer rights.
-
Changes to these Terms We may update these Terms for legal, security, product or operational reasons. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects an active paid subscription, we will give reasonable advance notice and, where appropriate, a right to cancel. Changes do not retrospectively alter a dispute that arose before they took effect.
-
General If a court finds part of these Terms unlawful, the rest remains effective. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. You may not transfer your contract without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation, financing or sale only if this does not reduce your rights. No person other than you and us has a right to enforce these Terms, except where law provides otherwise.
